Shapes and Chagall
The Shapes of Art exhibit is now underway, and we are very excited to host the Gala and Live Auction Saturday, April 28, at the Fort Collins Masonic Lodge. The closing reception for Shapes of Art is Friday, May 4, 2012 so be sure to get your bids in before then!
The Marc Chagall and the Bible: Etchings and Lithographs exhibit opens May 3 and goes through July 1 in the Mezzanine Gallery. It is one of the most monumental printing projects, and we are looking forward to bringing it to Fort Collins. The David Wander: Drawings from Biblical Texts will also be opening concurrent with the Chagall exhibit and will also close July 1. David creates a contemporary way to interpret the Bible through his illustrations.
A little later on in May the museum is bringing Liao Yibai’s work in an exhibit called, Supersized Fakes and Coldwar Artifacts. This exhibit explores fake brands within Chinese culture, and opens on May 18 and will run through September 15. The Member Opening Reception for all three of these exciting exhibitions will be Friday, May 18th from 5-8pm. See you there!
